As a student transferring to The University of Iowa from another college or university, you may be familiar with college life, but all colleges and universities are different. Orientation at Iowa is designed to introduce you and your family to the policies, procedures, and campus resources available here to help you succeed.

Regardless of the semester for which you plan to enroll (fall, spring, or summer), you are required to attend a one-day Orientation program. The date of the program will depend on the semester in which you plan to enroll. When you make your Orientation Program Reservation through your Admissions Profile on ISIS, you will see the program dates for which you are eligible.

Accommodations for people with disabilities

Accommodations, including sign-language interpreters, are available to you or the person(s) accompanying you in order to participate in Orientation. Please call Orientation Services at 319-335-1497 at least 30 days in advance of your program to alert us to any special arrangements needed for your visit to campus. Please note that we are unable to provide English interpreters.
